Successful Tender Management is the life blood of many organisations many of whom have become adept at managing and winning Tenders. However for most organisations there is little understanding of the true cost of putting a tender together. If such an understanding were derived organisations could consider the likely tender costs whilst making their Bid /no Bid decisions. This would undoubtedly ensure that decisions to tender would be vigorously challenged and tenders that were deemed unsuitable or unwinnable would be thrown back. Taking an active decision to tender less, win more allows the Tender Teams to focus on improving the Tender Management process to ensure that the quality of all actively pursued bids is exemplary.
