IT Vision & IT Strategy

It has been over a decade since the widely debated Harvard Review – IT Doesn’t Matter, which opined the view that IT could no longer be seen as a business differentiator as most businesses had fully embraced it. Acceptance of this opinion left CIOs & IT Directors struggling to keep ageing infrastructures running with decreasing budgets.

The necessity for Social Media integration together with advances in cloud & communication technologies have now forced IT Vision & IT Strategy back onto the Corporate Agenda as IT has once again become the differentiator it once was.

Organisations must now form a very clear IT Vision, bought into at Board level. The Vision must be underpinned by a clear IT Strategy and the budgets and resource to deliver it.
